TNO

For over 50 years TNO is a crucial partner in the international Space and Scientific community. While the focus in the early years was mainly on scientific instrumentation, we have become a leading player in the field of Earth observation, where we design, build and calibrate ultra-accurate spectrometers that are used to monitor climate change, the ozone hole, and air quality. For astronomy we enable world leading science by creating optomechatronic systems having unprecedented accuracy. In general, we design and build highly innovative systems based upon state-of-the-art optics and radar technology. Together with industry we create new business, e.g. for compact space instruments and laser satellite communication.
