Send in your video pitch and win a ticket to the ESA BIC Space Hack at Ultrahack in Finland!

Challenge

Space technology took us to the moon, flew the space shuttle 135 times, allowed astronauts to live and work on the International Space Station (ISS) and might eventually take us to Mars and beyond. Space technology comes in a multitude of forms: positioning and navigation, communications, robotics, nanosatellites, augmented reality, autonomous driving, novel materials, artificial intelligence, innovations for arctic conditions, gaming…

In this challenge, we invite you to come up with a solution to improve the infrastructure right here on Earth, using earth observation data (e.g. Copernicus data). Think of bridges, dams, roads, airports, water purification facilities, recycling plants – how could they be improved or replaced with a little help from space?

Record your idea in a short vlog or video pitch (max. 3 minutes) in which you introduce your team members, explain the problem and present your solution.
